Energy Charter Treaty: Towards a New Interpretation in the Light of Paris Agreement and Human Rights

In addition to climate change, the current war in Ukraine has highlighted urgency of a rapid transformation post-fossility. This paper analyses much-lamented negative policy and energy transition impacts Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) international law, treaty that serves as basis for compensation claims fossil fuel companies response losses incurred because measures. Methodologically, legal interpretation is conducted, i.e., ECT interpreted grammatically systematically.
